Every year on June 27th, Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Day is celebrated to honour their role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for up to 90% of businesses, 60% to 70% of employment, and they account for half of global GDP, according to the United Nations (UN).
The Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade is an organization based in India, South Africa, United States, United Arab Emirates, Europe, Singapore and the United Kingdom with board & council member representation across the world. We will be celebrating WORLD MSME DAY on 26-28th June’2023.
As registered micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, enablers, community builders, government and public organizations, we invite you to join us in this prestigious celebration. It is an opportunity to come together as a global community, share insights, foster collaboration, and learn from each other’s experiences.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Building a Stronger Future Together.” In line with this, we are excited to announce the launch of the #Brand10000MSMEs Network, a dynamic platform where MSMEs from around the world can connect, learn, and grow together. By joining this network, you will gain access to valuable resources, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and a supportive community that can empower you on your entrepreneurial journey.
The virtual event will feature engaging keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions with industry experts, thought leaders, and successful MSME owners. Through these activities, we aim to provide you with valuable insights, practical strategies, and inspiration to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.
World MSME Day is an important opportunity to look at this topical issue in a very practical and policy-oriented way in the global context of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Here, we ask the rest of the world to work together to help MSMEs get through the current crisis and build up their ability to handle future shocks. We encourage GCPIT Members to create an open, fair, non-discriminatory, and predictable global trade and business environment that helps and encourages MSMEs to participate in international trade and business.
